As frank as @Martinr36 may sound, he’s not wrong. To elaborate on those points...

The case is not the best for thermals due to its enclosed nature and the cooler is subpar. I’d worry that all the extra fans will be doing is washing hot air over all your components.

RAM of 3200MHz would be significantly better for system performance. As mentioned above, AMD processors really get a boost from the higher frequency.

You’ve picked a quality motherboard, but you’ve also missed a trick by not getting at least one M.2 drive to pop into it. They’re the next generation of SSD and are insanely fast.

And lastly, the PSU. The CV units, whilst useable, are very much at the lower end of the quality scale. The general advice would be to not skimp on your power supply to ensure longevity and upgradeability.

To be frank, even though I don’t know your system uses, your monitor or budget, I’d still feel confident in saying that this is not the best system you could get for your money.

Do you already possess it or is it still on order? If it’s the latter, I’d strongly suggest making some amendments to balance the build.

Inside it is, I believe, the sort of information you would be looking for to pre-empt the comments that were to follow. It gives you the reasoning and understanding of the comments above.

As much as it won't help you design a build now, it will help you understand the thought process that we use to determine the best options per budget.

If it hasn't yet been delivered, changes can be made. It's definitely not the optimum build for the cash though.

The majority of your spec looks really good. But honestly, as a fellow customer, I really would listen to the advice given by these guys.

The cost of your build may increase by a fraction, but in the long run you will save money by heeding the advice being offered.

Thanks a lot. Well, the Pc's not been built yet, so yes i'll definitely go for few amendments about the order. I have never been a fan of computers neither I have spent time in getting some strong knowledge about it. I have been rushing it, I'll be honest, but considering the timeframe and the knowledge I had before placing the order, I have researched quite a lot; not enough though. The case, you guys said is not the best option for thermal. Any suggestion or lecture about the way it should be? Or any suggestion among the cases would be great.
I will be using it for productivity work related by the way, reason why I haven't gone so far with specs.

Many thanks. What is the PC for? Is it purely for work? What programs are you likely to be using? Do you have a monitor already? What model, if you aren't sure do you know the resolution and refresh rate? What is the budget?

The first thing I've noticed is that you have used the "Home/Office" configurator. Perfect. The monitor is an absolute beauty. You could have went with the older model with 120hz refresh to save a few quid but it's a stunner regardless.

With that in mind, you won't need the 3070 though. For desktop trading programs, even if running VMs or other, you will only need a basic GPU to power it. The budget is there so the 2060 is a fair shout (I would have went with the 1660 but not available).

BTW, all the fancy lights can be switched off in the software. They are about function rather than form. There aren't any options that function as well that don't have lights right now.

I knew I was going for a not very needed GPU, but You know, in the way it was, stupidly renouncing to what the important parts really are, the price of the whole thing allowed me to go for the fancy 3070. So, you would rather go for the Ryzen 5800xt (3.8GHz-4.7GHz/36MB CACHE/AM4) than the one previously chosen. Right.
About the case, with the frontal grid much more helpful allowing the heat to move easily out. I don't really like the look of it, but for the price considering the other options on same budget... it has to be mainly for its function rather than its form, so that would do I guess.
In the way you organised it, everything seems to take finally shape in my head and I thank you very much for that.

Yes the 5800X is much more efficient than the 3800XT. It will make a difference in the speed of your calculations and updates. If you decide to use VMs it will help too, as will the fast RAM.

The GPU doesn't offer you anything other than screen refresh, which in a Windows environment any modern GPU will easily handle.

With the case.... unfortunately selection options are thin on the ground right now. You can send in your own case which would be a good option. The likes of the Corsair 4000D Airflow edition or the Fractal Focus-G would be good low budget options that do not sacrifice performance. If you wanted something a bit more top shelf then the Fractal Define 7 would be a good choice, it's a very quiet case that is completely closed off. Very efficient at what it does given the sound dampening qualities. This would be up to you though as stocks are limited at the moment.

I have spoken with the tech support about amending the order and it will be possible for me to get the 5800x. Only problem is with the availability of it, they'd need to pre order it and that would take at least couple of months. The same guy from the support advised me to go for the 3800xt if not willing to wait, which apparently could be a valid (obviously not as good as the 5800x) substitute for the purpose of the PC. I wouldn't rush it considering we are talking about an expensive purchase, but two months of time could affect my job efficiency.

I personally wouldn't rush it. I would get your hat in the ring for a 5800X and just bide your time.

Think of the efficiency with the better processor over the longer term
