How fast is your internet according to Speed Test?

Speedtest tests in megabits per second, and there are 8 bit in a byte, so divide the speedtest value by 8 and their is you maximum data speed

Theoretically you should only be getting about 400kb/s by the looks of it

The capitalisation is important here:
KB = Kilobyte
Kb = Kilobit
kB = Kibibit (not really important to know)

But yes, you are right my bad, although speeds have a different way of being displayed

bits is - mbps
and bytes is MB/s

and no k is not capitalised kB, kg, etc

What is the best way to find out who will proved the best connection for me in my area, at the moment im happy in a way as unlike some of my friends i never disconnect from xbox live or when browsing or gaming on my PC, but my download speed is slower than everyone i know, whats the best way of finding out?

At home (about 1 mile away): between 8 and 16 d 0.2 - 0.5 u. BT infinity..
Paying for the same speed connections. Work that one out..
