Well I saw this coming. Since the arrival of mine, my 13 year old son now wants a gaming PC. He says all his mates are getting them for Christmas so naturally he's pulling the sympathy card.

He already has a monitor, which he wants to keep. Its a 31.5" 2560x1440 75Hz ( this one).

Is this overkill? Case wise, please note a large part of this will be aesthetics so given 95% of Reddit posts re PC builds use this case it must be what the young'ns

Made a few tweaks. You don't need the cooler etc, can get better RAM.

You're spoiling him with the 2TB SSD also. A 2TB storage drive would do fine, it may take a little longer to load games but it has no impact in gaming performance :)

I've made some tweaks, the HDD as suggested and taken out the LED strips as it appears the case has some.
I'll probably get a couple of NZXT fans and fit myself to keep it consistent but I think I'm happy. Well not happy about the expenditure; given this scenario happened last year but replace gaming pc with stunt scooter. £600 later and it sits in his room gathering dust :rolleyes:

Ha ha ha. I refuse to pay the premium for compressed air. Even in Costco they're about £20 for 6 bottles.
I'm probably guna buy a rechargeable one at some point, especially if we both have one.

I've got that exact one, had it for a few years now, will never go back to compressed air cans, they're such a pain.

I'd suggest the expert version that's linked above over the £10 cheaper version, the extra nozzels and brushes you get with it are well worth the extra money.
