How to get the best out of my new graphics card

Hi,

Just got my new rig courtesy of the guys here. Really pleased with it. It includes a RTX3070 and I'm linking it to a Asus Tuff VG27A.

Two related questions....
  1. Which is better for gaming? HDMI or Display Port?
  2. Why does the Display Port seem to delivery only 640x480? I'm sure this is not the limit of its range but I was unable to change it.
...and an unrelated one:

3. What are the pros and cons of HDR? Why would I (not) use it?​

Hiya

Could you post your full specs so we can see what we're working with?

DP is the best connection for pc. If it's only showing 640 X 480 suggests drivers aren't configured properly.

HDR is really vibrant colourwise, makes the display pop both in colours and brightness. It's well worth it.
