Not sure about ram speeds needing to be higher with new ryzen cpu . Do i need 3600mhz at least. Trying to save money on the build, for the gpu when it is in stock ?

What monitor are you pairing it with? 3080 is aimed at 4k 144hz monitors and the likes. If you don't have a top end monitor I wouldn't waste the money on a top end GPU.

Faster RAM is always more beneficial but there's not a lot in it between the latency of both options.

I would definitely change the case, that's a hot box.
Strix B550 is overkill unless you have a specific need for the Strix? The stock PLUS offering is fine.
Games are large, if you don't have extra storage available I would strongly consider dropping the expensive M2 for a more affordable option and getting a larger secondary drive in its place.
Drop Bullguard, it's unnecessary and intrusive.
Silver warranty is always recommended.

Might be an idea if you post the spec rather than just the link, see the link below on how to do this.
In the meantime a couple of questions

  1. What's your budget
  2. What monitor you going to be using (resolution & refresh rate or make and model)

Getting new 4k 120hz gsync tv also need the highest fps for competitive games so prob use 1080 240hz more hahaha. Wasnt sure if the ram speeds are gonna make big difference (to fps with the new ryzen cpu) especially at 1080. Dunno why bullguards in there. Not sure about storage tho as you say may not need the fast ssd. I will get the b550 prime aswell just didn't have available so couldn't put in spec . also case will be a coolermaster master box.

Are you a professional gamer? I still think the 3080 is a waste of money (and queue time). Most people can't see anything over 120hz and you need to be proper elite to make any use of a 240hz screen. It's nice to buy this tech under a premise but for 99.9% of the population, it's a cash cow.

It would be like me wearing F1 gear to commute to work really. Having the kit doesn't mean I've got the synapses to use it :D

Haha. Not a pro lol . I play alot of games and will soon be using 4k alot too. who knows 8k monitors may be coming around Also for a 3080 build this isnt a bad price imo. The wait is a pain but hey ho get my name on a list i guess. Main question really was ram speeds on this build. Dont want to bottleneck the gpu
