Here in my order invoice I did put in for a 1 tb drive, however I only see the 256gb one in my PC, I am not really computer techy but what could be wrong here? Was I scammed?
If someone could chat with me in say discord or something I would really appreciate it or help me here if possible, I am a bit worried...

I started using the PC the way it was delivered to me I haven't changed anything since.

That’s your ssd drive which windows is on.

Your data drive needs to be enabled in disk manager.

Now looking at this all seems scary to me, I really don't want to mess anything up and I feel the guide isn't as specific enough as I would like it to be, have you any ideas what I should do from here?

Ah, it is already partitioned, so all you have to do is right click on the "New Volume" partition, what options do you get?

Basically you just need to assign it a drive letter, usually D:\

Here's what I see when I right click on it, Not really sure what to click on from here.

So as Oussebon says, so long as you haven't used the drive yet then it's completely new and empty.

All you have to do from there is click on "change drive letter and paths" and assign it a drive letter other than any currently in use. Normally you'd have the next available letter ie D:\

It worked! And not really happy to admit this but.... two years ish? It's the same PC that I acquired when I made my forum account here :sweatdrop:

Just one more thing, am I still permitted to download and play games with this? Lets say I don't have enough space on my SSD and wish to install a game with the storage from my other drive, would I simply use that as the installation path for said game or is there more to it ?

That's exactly right yes, you can just specify the new drive as the storage path.

It'll be slower to load games, but will run them just the same.

You tell the game to install to the drive, that's all there is to it.

If your games are on Steam you can make additional steam library folders through the Steam client. Run Steam, click "Steam" on the menu bar at the top left, select "Settings" and under that menu look at the "Downloads" section. Click "Steam Library Folders" and make a new library on your 2nd drive.

When you install games in the future there will be a drop-down menu offering a choice of which place to install to.

You can also swap installed games between Steam libraries by right clicking the game listing in your library, selecting Properties, and under the Local Files tab you can move the install location.
