What monitor can I use ?

I am not seeing any good 27" available only the cheap rog and the one for 3k( way over budget)

Only other is a 55" Philips the specs look good but I can't have a 55" on a desk that is just ridiculous.

Any other suggestions my pc still won't be here for a few weeks?

What's your max budget?

What's the PC for?

I only want to spend around £1,000 ( could go a couple hundred more if it was much better) mainly for 4k gaming but I do also like stuff like football manager, league of legends and other competitive multiplayer titles.

The Samsung g9 is generally the one to go for for ultimate immersion. With black Friday coming up it will be below 1k

Its not 4K, its a 5120x 1440 screen (ie 1440 pixels high, just at a really wide resolution)..

Also its not as big as you might think, I mean its definitely big, but its not like its a 49" rectangle because of the curve :)

But whether you 'need' something that big, well thats only really something you can answer :)

Note: Edited to (hopefully) prevent confusion

I wouldn't mind it if can fit in my 1.5m area. Would I not be getting the best out of the 3080 though with it being 1440p or would the extra wide screen make up for it ?

Would the monitor get the best out of my 3080 though ? Or should I downgrade the 3080.

It's not imperative I game in 4k I just want to be able to game at the best experience

It just under 4k in pixel density but at 240hz so it even a 3090 wouldn't get the most our of it.

It's far better than 4k.

I do love that g9 but it's just too big unless I mounted it on wall.

Anyone got or used the

ASUS ROG Strix XG43UQ

i have the g9 sitting on my desk and it isn't a big desk mate. It can be done and it is an amazing monitor for gaming.

Do any of you with the g9 experience the popping sound I have seen on reviews, if so how loud is it ?
It’s not that bad mate. You can hear it but doesn’t bother me at all. Can’t hear it when I use my headphones for example
