Ice Lake CPUs in 2020?

I've been following the news that Intel is shipping their new Ice Lake CPUs right now, for purchase in consumer units later in the year.

What are the chances we'll be able to build custom laptops with these new CPUs in 2020? I'd be interested in getting on in a 14" LAFITÉ III specifically.

A new CPU refresh will generally mean updated chassis as they redesign the thermals and motherboards for the new chips. PCS are very good at stocking new technologies as soon as they're available, so so long as the chassis manufacturers are quick to adopt, then we should see PCS stock them as soon as they're available.

I'm not sure we'll see ice lake CPUs for desktops this year though; the -U series ones are only coming out at the end of the year, and Intel seem to be leading with those.
