Installing ARGB LED Strips

So I've ordered a 50cm ARGB LED Strip which should be coming today and just to make sure I don't damage my new pc I want to make sure I'm installing this on the correct pins, from what I've read this needs to be a 5v connecter.

My motherboard is a GIGABYTE B550M DS3H (mATX, DDR4, AM4, PCIe 4.0)

Depending on the motherboard revision, it may or may not have an ARGB header to connect them to (rev 1.0 to 1.4 have ARGB header, rev 1.5+ do not), but the case has RGB lighting so the case may have a controller you can plug in to.

Unfortunately the PCS cases are an unknown quantity (we don't know who makes them or what specs they have), so you might have to ask PCS for information on where (and if possible) they connect to.

I'm going to look at the motherboard manual, but unless I'm absolutely sure, I'm not going to install it.

Can always install late on down the line when my understand knowledge improves.

You might also need PCS to offer some advice on what the case can do, as the details in the motherboard manual will depend on knowing the revision of motherboard you have.

If you can see inside the case, then the revision is printed on the bottom-left corner of the motherboard...and the RGB header(s) are at the bottom on the earlier revisions (rev 1.0 motherboard in the picture):

So looking at my motherboard it has a LED_C1 (12V GRB) A D_LED1 which is in use and a TPM and a COM

at the top of the motherboard we have a LED_C2 (BRG 12V) and a D_LED2 (GDV)

So can it fit into the led_c1? I've got another set of these top right of the motherboard

If the motherboard in your PC is the same as the one in the picture (or even v1.1-v1.4) then you should be able to connect it to one of the free headers.

The manual for rev 1.4 shows them at bottom and top, so you may have a rev 1.4 board.
Strangely the manual for rev 1.0 shows only the bottom LED headers, but the picture above of a rev 1.0 board shows them on the top too!?!?!

If I'm reading it correctly, DLED is for addressable (A)RGB strips and LED is for non-addressable RGB strips. I don't know which you'd use for the strips you're looking at.
