Intergrated camera not working.

Hi

My laptop's intergrated camera is not working and I do not know what to do to get it working. On the device manager it says,

Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.

This is a laptop so I cannot reconnect the camera, please can someone advise?

On some laptops there is a function key that turns the camera on and off.

Is there a key on the keyboard to enable/disable the camera? If so this may have been clicked accidentally & turned the camera off.
Does the camera appear under device manager? If not check further under View>Show hidden devices.
If it isn’t there then the camera module may have failed.
