Hi all,
Appreciate this seems to be a common issue but I’m about to Chuck my pc through the window as I can’t seem to solve my issues!
I have had this desktop for over a year now but since I have moved house, I am having serious issues with connecting it to the internet (via Wi-Fi - yes my antennas are connected) it decides to change its mind whether to work or not, connecting, then click on the internet and get the dreaded no connection page, if it manages to stay connected, it runs slower than the slowest dial up known to man and then crashes again. It bogs out and decides it doesn’t want to search for any other known available networks and then now it’s permanently offline. I am unable to connect via Ethernet as a fix due to where my router is located so Wi-Fi is my only option.
It just so happened to be working fine yesterday, did a windows update (prob a few months overdue) downloaded adobe illustrator, repaid my bullguard protection (as that had expired) and now this morning it’s not having any of it.
To top it off a previous issue which fixed itself has reared its ugly head is now my ADX gaming wired mouse has decided to start lagging making it very difficult to manoeuvre the mouse and click then damn buttons you want to click!
I have uninstalled the new windows update in hope that would help as I heard that can cause internet issues but if anything it’s made it worse.
I troubleshoot the network and the following error appears:
“Wi-Fi” doesn’t have a valid IP configuration
Pc: PC SPECIALIST - Tornado R5 Gaming PC - AMD Ryzen 5, GTX 1660, 1 TB HDD & 256 GB SSD
Any help would be so appreciated right now 🤞🏼Thank you
UPDATE: Iv lugged my pc downstairs next to my patio door to plug in direct through Ethernet and now everything runs perfectly. So I’m 100% having an issue with the Wi-Fi aspect of the pc.
I have been advised to try the windows 11 update but it’s saying I don’t have TPM enabled therefore am unable to support the update. Any idea how I go about enabling this, if at all possible? (Sorry complete noob here!)
