Ionico 17 Control Centre setup

Hello everybody, I've got a new Ionico 17 laptop here from PCspecailist - probably will write a review but waiting around a month before I post anything so I can see how good this thing really is, also want to actually see how it runs!

Just wondering if you guys know any good setups to use in the control centre? I checked the guides forum bit but they are all like 2018 threads. My control centre version is 3.1.35.0 but I saw a video of the latest being 3.9.18 - how would I go about getting this? I can't see anything on the main website and I'm not even sure what I would google. There isn't any update button on the program itself either. I'd like to optimise it more for performance but not at the expense of slowly killing the hardware. Also is the dGPU toggle essentially what a MUX switch is?

Another question is, should I undervolt my laptop at all? So far I haven't had any issues with overheating or anything of the sort but I haven't really put in any long gaming sessions yet (probably will this weekend). I also have a cooling pad waiting at my flat when I go back this weekend so might not need it.

In terms of getting a new HD added (kind of wish I had put two in) would it need to go back or would I be able to order from these guys and install it myself? Don't want to void any warrenty

Any advice would be much appreciated, in the past I overclocked my old desktop processor and it knackered it.

You need to contact PCS directly by email or phone to request a new version of Control Center If it has been updated. Just bare in mind that if the version of CC you saw on the video was from another integrator PCS may not have an updated version. The chassis configuration including the BIOS and control software is configured to the specific integrators specification.
I can't see anything on the main website and I'm not even sure what I would google.
What ever you do, do not use a version of CC you find on google even if it is for the same chassis from a different system integrator for the reasons specified above. This will also most like void your warranty as it will alter power settings and clock frequencies.

There isn't any update button on the program itself either. I'd like to optimise it more for performance but not at the expense of slowly killing the hardware. Also is the dGPU toggle essentially what a MUX switch is?
Yes the dGPU toggle controls the MUX.

Another question is, should I undervolt my laptop at all? From what I've seen from other users the Intel has disabled the ability to undervolt through software applications such as ThrottleStop and XTU on the 11800H. This was something Intel started doing when they released the 10 series chips to try to stop the Plundervolt exploit. I believe the only way to get round this is if undervolting is enabled in your BIOS?

Either way if your temps look good I wouldn't worry about it.

You can order from PCS through your account. Just open the order and scroll to the bottom there will be a button that says "upgrade this order". You are allowed to install it yourself. It wont affect your warranty unless you do something negligent in the process and damage the laptop.

I have written quite extensively about how I have configured the power limits for my Valeon through Tong Fangs control center here: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/foru...9-5900hx-its-a-bit-of-a-monster-really.86679/

Whilst the hardware is different the software and process is the same. Have a look at what I've done and have a play around, see what works best for you.
