Is now a good time to buy a gaming PC?

Obviously technology moves quickly and there is always something new, shiny and updated around the corner but just wondering if now is a good time to buy as I have seen mention of Intel 13th gen being end-of-life and it not having been a great couple of years for GPUs and their prices.

Nows a good time I'd say, cpus have been out a year so prices have come down.

GPU prices have finally been seeing some reduction and there are some more reasonable offers now, although often on last generation if at tge lower end.

Intel is generally avoided nowadays, since 11th gen really, and yes, 13th gen is the last on that platform so you wouldn't be able to upgrade the CPU to a later gen.

AMD have confirmed support on AM5 for a further 2 years at least so will likely have 3 or 3 generations available on that.

But AMD are generally better cpus nowadays, it's only very specific use cases where intel make any sense. Intel are now what AMD were 6 years ago.
