Same comments as before about the storage, from my POV. (i.e: Having a 1TB 850 Evo as a secondary storage drive doesn't seem like great value, and won't benefit game performance. I'd stick with an HDD - you already have a 1TB PM961 as the main drive anyway.)

I believe the Max-Q laptops and GPUs are designed to be relatively power efficient to try to have lower acoustics:

When you’re playing these games at incredible detail levels you won’t need noise cancelling headphones, because Max-Q laptops are quieter than most gaming laptops. In fact, all are targeted to run at a maximum of 40dbA, making them quieter than the vast majority of comparably-powerful gaming laptops.
https://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/nvidia-geforce-gtx-max-q-laptops

To achieve this the Max-Q GPUs are clocked lower than regular laptop GPUs, and so perform a bit lower.

There's a review of the Clevo chassis the Defiance XS here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KO0NcR5jhk

and I believe the first user review on the PCS forums went up a couple of days ago: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?56233-Defiance-XS-review

Agree with Oussebon, unless you are going to be doing things that really benefit from have an SSD for the second drive the EVO is a waste of cash, a decent HDD is all you need for storage.

Should be OK, Octanes are good, I have one, although the original. Heat should not be an issue but it is always worth getting a cooling tray as it helps prolong the life anyway but check the size as a lot that claim they will fit 17" laptops don't.

+1 to that.

Spec above looks good.

[This was moved from someone elses thread and they were talking about overheating - but since this question seemed specifically about constant00s (rather than the OP's thread) machine it's been moved here]

Or how a about a less power hungry processar instead..

If you want the best CPU go with the Octane if you are happy for a lower powered one have the Defiance, you can find benchmarks online but the 7700k is 4.2GHz compared to the 2.8 and 3.8 turbo of the hg, so the Defiance will be slower.

Looks good. The only thing I'd say is if you're not worried about cost, go for the GTX1080, it will last that much longer and the graphics will be the first bottleneck you come to that will make you have to upgrade.

Seems good to me. Though regarding the noise, frankly you're barely going to notice any noise the HDD does make when the laptop's idle, let alone when it's whirring along under gaming load.

Worth bearing in mind that the chassis may be going EOL as Kaby Lake Refresh / Coffee Lake will be out soon.

No gaming laptop is to going be quiet when under load. Plus what's loud might be a bit subjective. I can only suggest you look up reviews people have posted on this forum in the "show off your new pc" section as I don't own one personally.

Is this good for a laptop build...and why no more gysnc displays are available..

Not worried about cost...so no price saving advice...thnx..is this good...was gonna purchase before but then they stopped doing the gysnc screen....wondering if the 120hz screen is a better option...
But why is the regular gsync display not available anymore...

Threads merged again, and repeating what I said last time:
constant00 please stop creating new threads, it's best to stick to one thread because them stuff doesn't end up being repeated over and over - I've merged a few of yours together
I realise it's been a few weeks since the last comment but its about the same laptop.

Sorry forgot....by the way how can i delete my threads

You can't, only mods can, but I think all your threads got merged into this one anyway.
It's best not to delete threads anyway, as it means others may not be able to see any useful info in them (which may have taken quite some time by the poster of said useful info)
