Is this a strong config for gaming? 1st build please help.

I know this seems a bit like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted, but today I ordered the PC with the specs listed below and I am now second guessing having the right build or possibly something being missing.

I am using the PC for gaming, all types of gaming but a lot of sim racing and online.

Can someone please have a look at the specs and tell me if i need something more or if what i have is too much for what i want it for.

I'd say it's ok, but there are a few changes I'd make myself. What monitor with you be using?

Change cooler to H115i or H150, H100 is a little under spec for me. I’d also consider a second SSD over a HDD from both a performance and noise point of view. And lastly splash out on the extra €7 or so for silver warranty.

Up PSU to 850W or even better 1000w, ignore what the PCS configurator tells you.

I'd personally want a better case, CPU cooler and PSU to be honest but the CPU and GPU are more than capable

Nvidia themselves recommend a minimum of 850W for the 3080 personally I'd be aiming for 1000W due to the spikes

That CPU I'd also want a Corsair H115i

I'd also change the storage to have two M.2's for faster storage

For the most part no, they all perform within margin of each other. The "upper tier" cards generally just have some good quality of life things

No worries mate make sure to post the full spec before you buy there are always little tweaks I just went for the big ones.

Little things like Norton Anti Virus which is horrible and I would strongly recommend not getting. Windows Defender is free with windows and just as good as any anti virus

Silver warranty is a bargain for a fiver and we can help optimise your storage which shouldn't add anything to the cost but allow you to have modern very fast storage
