I think @SpyderTracks was referring to this desktop build that you posted a few years ago. You didn’t end up pulling the trigger on that and just have a laptop?

oh that...yeah changed my mind and got a laptop i7 1060 graphics 16g memory from pc specialist also...much better for just over a 100 over 1000...but now looking at this black friday offer on pc specialist for i7 and amd desktop....both just over a thousand...but are they any good for regular full hd graphics...mainly for gaming....is the amd version or i7 build better...

If you were to go for one of the PC Specialist black friday deals, I'd go for the Fusion. The 6600 marginally outperforms the 2060 Super and the differnce between the i7 and Ryzen 5 won't be very signifcant in gaming anyway. Plus the AMD system has a higher quality motherboard and with a rumoured refresh in early 2022 there should be another generation of compatible CPU's which the 11th gen system won't have. All that and it's still £100 cheaper!

The PSU and cooler in both aren't ideal- the PSU is a budget unit and doesn't leave much scope for future upgrades and the PCS Frostflow AIO's aren't the quietest (I own the 240mm version) but both will do the job they need to. If we were to spec a system new, these are two things we'd change, but I do understand that a 6600 and 5600X for £1,100 in this market is pretty enticing 😂
