Anyone who even considers spending £7.5k on a PC needs their head looking at... Apart from benchmarking software, where you might see a few extra points, you wont really notice enough to justify that kind of money. EVER

That spec will max out anything you throw at it, possibly add a 750W psu that way you can add a 2nd GPU and still have a bit of wiggle room.

I like that and will go for it, but as always the website always plays up. I ordered one yeterday days ago, and I need to cancel.. but it says The page that you have requested could not be found. Please check the following:

1. You have typed in the address correctly.

2. You are not trying to access an old page from your favourites or search engine cache.

3. You have typed the correct file extension, for example .jpg or .html.

Also what is the difference between the Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-3770 (3.4GHz) 8MB Cache

and the motherboard you chose?

I lol'd at this thread :D Can't believe I'm gonna say that to the guy who was ready to spend 7.5k on a PC, but you could consider upping your budget a tad and fit in an SSD, it will make everything a lot faster and if you're looking for performance that means less loading times.

Apart from that the spec u posted is pretty good. Now reassure me on something, you said

Please tell me you didn't actually post an order for the 7.5k PC ^^ I'd totally understand your mom in that case. As for your login problems, are u using firefox? I get the same thing with FF so I use Chrome on this website, dunno why we get this error.

I ordered the 7.5k one, then cancelled luckily.

And It only happens on chrome for me, but works on fire fox :p

I don't need fast loading times, not a worry for me :)

In that case nothing to change in your spec :) You could drop the CPU to the 3770, you chose the k version and this one is intended for overclocking (it has an unlocked multiplier). If you plan to overclock now or later on, keep the 3770k, if not scale down to the 3770. Bear in mind that OCing won't improve your gaming performance and if it's just a gaming PC ie no video editing etc you won't notice a difference.

Edit: Also you'd have to up the CPU cooler for OCing so I'd recommend dropping down to the 3770 will save you some ££

A few people have seen this recently, clear your browser cache and that should sort it out.

Thanks everyone, I've decided on what I'm going to get. refer to the last posted spec.

One more question though.

what's the SSD CACHE DRIVE option mean on the creation part of the website?

and is a SSD drive as a first hard drive really needed?

An SSD cache drive makes an HDD faster for frequently accessed data,
an SSD drive is not essential but it will make your system faster on boot & loading applications.

Sorry, but I call troll on this whole thread.

Just sayin'

How so? I ordered the 7.5k PC, but had to call PC specialist to cancel it due to my mum finding out that i was spending so much on a PC. So she told me to spend no more than 1.5k.

Alright thanks for the help. I wont be going for a SSD just yet, If needed I can always install it my self.

If I could afford an ssd I would definately get one, and installing it later on is going to usually mean a fresh windows intsall and etc.

Also read this, there is a section with benefits of ssd's and a lot of other useful info about ssd's
