hi i’m using this pc for gaming and maybe streaming also i’m using a 144 hz monitor and i payed with financeTwo things - firstly about the waiting time of your build, the 2060 and 2060S have been put to a halt in production till April as to spare up room for the 30 series cards being produced (my guess). Secondly, I can already see some issues with your build which I believe are not too late to change🙂. If you could let me know the uses of your PC, what monitor you’ll be pairing it up with, and your budget then I could help you get a better build for your price-point.
Since you want to do some streaming as well those extra cores on the CPU will be good help. With the GPU, if you’re unable to wait till April for your order then the 3060 is an available option - its a lot better in terms of stock and you get your build done at around 14-20 working days with it included (as long as other components are also in stock). I got mine built today on working day 14 just for clarification🙂hi i’m using this pc for gaming and maybe streaming also i’m using a 144 hz monitor and i payed with finance
if i amend my order now how long do i think it will take for it to get in the building stage with 3060?Since you want to do some streaming as well those extra cores on the CPU will be good help. The 3060 is essentially a replacement for the 2060 and the 2060S and its better price-to-value. This however is up to you - if you’re impatient then you can amend your order to the 3060. If you’re happy waiting then stick to your current build.
One thing I’d recommend is a bigger PSU. At the very least 750w is recommended so you have a build that lasts longer and you have room to upgrade your components in the near future. Your current 450w option will mean that your PSU will always run at heavy loads and it wont last as long as it would with a 750w as it’d need to work less and be able to last longer. If you have the BullGuard option acquired, I’d highly recommend you remove it as Windows Defender is free and works perfectly fine, whereas BullGuard is the same, if not worse and has caused issues for people in the past. Finally, if you haven’t picked the Silver Warranty I’d recommend that as well as its only an extra £5 and gives you an extra 11 months for collect and return!
Well once again I’ve seen it take around 14-20 working days so far for someone to have their 3060 PC go into build. However, please dont rely on that time stamp as PCS could run out of stock with the 3060 and it’ll take longer than I’ve stated. However, as of day though, stocks have seemed better with the 3060. I’d guess yours would go into build sometime this week if all of your components are in stock. One other small tweak I’ve spotted is that your mobo is a B450, which will soon become outdated. I’d recommend a B550 as its not much more expensive and although I’m not sure much about the differences I heard that B550 will be good for a while and be caught up with more recent generations of components🙂if i amend my order now how long do i think it will take for it to get in the building stage with 3060?
Thanks, that is handy to know. From what others have said in the past, if you make amendments such as putting in a better PSU, then you can simply pay the difference at the time of the amendment thus leaving the financing intact.
thank you for the message🙌🙌 rn i’m going to stick with my 2060I have a 2060 in my build and have been waiting 20 working days. I rang them up today and they said they're expecting new deliveries of 2060s shortly but it's not confirmed. I really don't know whether to upgrade to the 3060 or stay as I am - which ever will be faster.
The 2060 stopped production last year along with all the other 2000 series.I have a 2060 in my build and have been waiting 20 working days. This isnt an issue - you make your requested changes and pay PCS the new differenceNoticed said it was paid with finance, that may make changes difficult/impossible. It may be the finance agreement will be have to redone.
I agree about the changes though, especially the PSU, you always want good headroom, not just for upgrades but to help prolong its life.
If you wish to change stuff would need to call PCS.
That doesn't necessarily mean that PCS won't acquire more stock though? They said on the phone they're not discontinuing it.The 2060 stopped production last year along with all the other 2000 series.
There are rumours that nvidia may start remaking them but there’s no confirmation as yet. As it stands they are end of life.
No, absolutely not, if PCS say they’re expecting more stock then it suggests more stock is on the way, just wanted to make it clear that they’re not being made anymore. That doesn't necessarily mean that PCS won't acquire more stock though? They said on the phone they're not discontinuing it.
can u let me know when your pc is in the building phase please? That doesn't necessarily mean that PCS won't acquire more stock though? They said on the phone they're not discontinuing it.
I will do!can u let me know when your pc is in the building phase please?
should i amend my order from 2060 to rx 5700 xt ?The 2060 stopped production last year along with all the other 2000 series.

No one in the world knows anything about GPU stocks at the moment, they literally turn up when they turn up.To be honest, it doesn't seem like even PCS knows what's happening. They had no idea when new stock will arrive and also had no idea if there was any GPU assigned to my order, so it could be anything from days to weeks until mine goes into build stage (hopefully the former!). I understand the circumstances at the moment are making it difficult for everyone so I'll patiently wait and hope for the best
I will do!
Definitely not. The previous AMD series had major driver errors which were never resolved. You should go for a 3060.should i amend my order from 2060 to rx 5700 xt ?
