I did complain. I don’t know what they’ll do now.

This was on the optimus x, a * piece of tech that won’t * work no matter what I do 😡

I don’t know why it kept having issues, anyway they were the laptop either dying or slowing down and glitching

Statistically there's, always going to be a tiny percentage of builds that have multiple problems. It shouldn't happen at all of course but stuff breaks randomly and people make mistakes. It would appear that you're that tiny minority. :(

I applaud the calm and reasonable way you're handling what must be a massive disappointment. I can only suggest that in the same calm and reasonable way you ask PCS whether they would consider a full replacement since you've clearly suffered enough.

I’ll do that. Thank you. It’s really been incredibly frustrating so far and I’ve yet to find a silver lining, heck your compliments might count as one!
I’ll wait for them to contact me again and I’ll look at the options they present to me but will ask for a replacement like you said. Maybe even ask for a different build and use the laptops value as debit And I pay the balance on top e.g. switching to a Nova, those 12 Cores look mighty fine at £1500

Was wondering, is this a good build for physics simulations? CPU power is king here and honestly I don’t mind splurging a bit more cash on a 2070 over a 2060, the card I would have originally gone for. In-game future proofing blah blah...

I would take a R7 3700X, it has about the same power as the R9 3900 for a minder price.

Uhh, it has 33% fewer cores. And the 3900 in this laptop doesn’t perform that much slower than the desktop full fat, which is MILES ahead of any 3700x.

Multithreaded workloads are crucial for me ngl and those extra cores are a welcome plus

They will be stocking them, no question, they'll stock all new chips.

But it would require a new chassis as requires a whole new cooling design.

Whoa what in banana blue heck? Can’t they just stick it into the AM4 socket in the nova’s custom b450 mobo and run it at 65w like it already does?

Oh ok. I thought they were just better binned parts. The listed TDP is identical to the X parts, does tdp not have any bearing when Overclocking things?

hi i just got an update i wanted to share. i finally got my refund, thanks to a Mr Mustafa for that.
they said they'll take up to 5 working days to send the money back but after 6 months that's not much.
i hope they do better than this with most of their laptops, ngl, as this was a bad ride.
