Hi there! In order to get a grip on things, a few questions must be asked of you.

Budget... What funds have you got locked away for your purchase?

Uses... Is it a pure gaming system you’ve got in mind or will you be doing any editing and streaming?

Monitor... what screen have you got? Make and model or resolution and refresh rate would be handy info to know. If you haven’t got one, add how much you’re willing to spend and add to the budget.

I'm getting a 2k monitor with 1ms looking at the hp omen 27i, and my budget so far the build I've ordered is £2,500 but willing to spend a little extra maybe couple hundred thanks

Main thing is change to an AMD build, they are way ahead of Intel now, check out thread below.

Don't know if that's possible without now contacting pcs just did a quick amd build its £2900 for the build I'd want rather than £2550 on my intel build I really don't know what to do

As long as it has not gone into building you can cancel, think that possible via your account. It is worth doing and there are some good people here who can put a spec together for your budget.

If you want to change from intel to AMD, I think the best way is to get a spec sorted and phone them, If you pst the AMD spec you've done maybe someone can tweek it so it comes dow in price but you still get a great rig

If you have a 2k (1440p) monitor, a 3080 isn't a good bet: it will be limited by the monitor. The 3060Ti would probably be sufficient, but you could go for the 3070 to really max the thing out. When the time comes to upgrade to 4K, that will be the time to upgrade your graphics card as well. It's poor value for money to buy a graphics card in the prospect of a distant future monitor upgrade.

You can then spend that saving (and, to be fair, a touch more) on seriously upgrading your CPU to the 12-core 5900X (you could go for the 5800X to save a bit, but I don't think it's great value for money compared to the 5900X). I'd also upgrade your storage solution to a much faster M.2 SSD config, along with upgrading the WiFi card, getting a much better case and losing the Arctic thermal paste, which isn't necessary.

If there was a place to cut money in this build, it's the memory: 64GB is absurd overkill unless you are doing 8K video editing or something like that. I'm suggesting 32GB as a reasonable compromise, but you'll almost certainly find 16GB is sufficient for gaming and streaming.

That's my build just realised the one I first posted wasn't correct I just want to know where I can make it better or if I can without spending much more and for the 3080 it's a little future proofing as for when 4k becomes standard thanks

It’s your money, but this is not a great investment. What’s the point in asking for advice if you’re not going to take it?

I'm asking if there's anyway to make my build a bit better without breaking the bank slight adjustments will my pc not play games in high settings or will I not be able to stream will it not give me a high fps while gaming ?

I asked about my build didn't ask for you guys to make this a amd vs intel I asked if it was a decent build that will play games in high settings did I not ?
It's not an AMD v Intel. Its about getting the best performing build for your budget :)

Based on your original spec. Change the M.2 to PCS from intel and remove the artic paste as not needed with that cooler. Probably worth changing to the newer i series as well.

You asked if it was a decent build and the answer is no, not with it being Intel and reasons were explained for that if you read the post that was linked to.
If only you'd listen to the advise you could get a lot better bang for your buck by going AMD

From the OP’s spec I would keep Windows, the PSU, onboard sound, delivery and the power cable - not much else for the use case.

But some say intel some say amd so I'm not interested in that I wanted to know about the build I put together if it will run games at high fps and play games at high settings mate and further down what I could do to make it a little better without a lot more cash
