Keyboard colours

Hey guys,

I have just received my Optimus XI 17.3” and I was wondering how I could turn the keyboard lights on and customize them (if possible)?

I believe (though I am not 100% sure) that Control Centre is responsible for fans and keyboard colours...it should already be installed on your system but, if it isn't, then you should be able to find it in the downloads section of your account which you will find in the Tech Support dropdown menu (as shown in attached screenshot):

Thank you for the reply! I could not find anything in the control centre and the tech support Dropbox. There is only “download the welcome pack” and the BullGuard anti virus

Strange. I'm not sure then...maybe Control Centre only controls the fans and something else controls the keyboard lighting (on other laptops there is another control thing called "gaming cntre"..maybe see if you have that? Beyond that, I don't know as I'm not a laptop person...you may need to try ringin PCS and asking them or wait until someone more knowledgebale can comment here

I have found the control centre (looked up previous posts that said to download it) and have downloaded it. I have run the “backlit” file, which then said that everything was set up but I still don’t have the colour on the keyboard ((

Sure 😊 I’ve attached a photo. When clicking on that arrow at the bottom, there should be an app “GamingCenter”. That’s the app for controlling fans and lights, it works great!

Ah...it was gaming centre in the end. Thank you for posting to confirm that....I wasn't sure as not all the laptops have it

No problem, I did find links for downloads at the tech support though, so you were right, I was just being a bit dumb 😂 Barely use computers and laptops. That is going to be changed now though 😂😂
