Laptop for MS Flight Sim

Hi all,

I'm looking at laptops as I just don't have space anymore for my PC (in the process of selling my 2 year old PCSpecialist PC) so I basically just need a laptop that will run MS flight sim decently.

Please let me know your thoughts.

OR this is the AMD version.. with Ryzen 9. Bit overkill, but it's the only CPU they do. Looking at benchmarks too on the forum this laptop seems to have better cooling than the one above.

MSFS20 is much more heavily GPU dependent than previous generations so CPU is less important than it was. Personally, I'd go with the AMD one for the better GPU but then I'm not a laptop expert.

It's actually both. It's a complete resource hog. They still haven't got the multi-thread improvements working at their peak so it's still fairly single thread reliant. IPC makes a difference though.

The best CPU right now is the 5800X3D but I'm not sure if there's a laptop option coming or not. Otherwise, the high frequency 12k series top the charts. There's a lot in it with the 5800X3D though, it's really knocked it out the park for FS2020.

From the 2 above I would still agree that the 5900 paired with the 3070 is the best option. Ideally you would want a 5Ghz chip with a 3070 though.
