Laptop only showing top left...

Hi guys,

My laptop has been doing this on and off for a few months...

Laptop only shows the top left had side of laptop, the top right, bottom left and right are still there as I can move the mouse (out of the observable space) and click buttons...

I have uninstalled the graphics card and updated, but nothing seems to work. I rebooted the whole laptop and it went back to showing the whole screen, but after a few days it started again.... any ideas what to do?

Thank you

That looks like some sort of hardware issue to me. Is it still under warranty? I'd give PCS a call in any case.

Can you post the full specs from the order page so we all know what we're looking at please?

With something like this you need to confirm whether it's software/driver related or whether it's hardware. The only reliable way to do that is with a clean install of Windows from bootable media freshly downloaded.

In your second image, the screen resolution is set way too high, needs to be 1920 x 1080.

Not sure how it got set out of the monitor range, but just set 1080p and it should be ok?

Uninstalled it from device manager (GTX 765M). Then reinstalled by downloading the driver file from nVidia website
...
Ok, good, that's ok then.

Firstly, there are 2 GPU's on that laptop, Intel and nVidia. Intel is what's used for normal display, nVidia is only activated for extreme requirements like gaming.

So firstly, go into device manager and uninstall the Intel graphics drivers by right clicking and uninstall:

Then you'll need to use DDU to uninstall the nvidia drivers (uninstalling from device manager will only uninstall the driver, not the settings programs:

Then reboot, windows update should automatically reinstall the Intel driver, double check it's reinstalled.

Then reinstall nvidia driver.
