Laptop shuts down without warning at random times

Like I said, Press Windows+R (gives you run)

Type eventvwr and press enter or click OK

Gives you Event Viewer, goto Windows / System
You can then right click the System option, select Filter, select Critical and Warning

And as you can see you will be able to see the issues more simply

If struggling, you can click the save all events as on the right click menu, and perhaps we can help with that.

Should point you in the right direction, if it's GPU issues, should be an nvidia driver, if core CPU should be from the HAL (or kernel mode)

That one you can ignore. It's just telling you that Windows didn't shut down properly (yes, it has a dumb name). :)

If you look at the right hand side of that event viewer window you'll see a menu item called 'Filter current log...', click that. In the new window that opens click the checkboxes labelled 'Critical' and 'Error' and the click the Ok button. That way all you'll see displayed will be critical and error messages. :)

The cpu hit 70 degrees just opening chrome and WhatsApp at the same time, then the laptop cut power when I opened a game, and when it didn’t die it glitched the screen into a bunch flickering pixels. I called pcs about it and they suggested I get an rma rather than repasting it as they think the issue is deeper than just thermals. So I can’t do anything any more 😷
