Laptop turns off when I pick it up

Jeez, I honestly can’t remember ever removing any tape. Should I attach the tape to the case or over the connectors directly?

OK a few things:

i) the grey wire to the one fan looks like its been squeezed (just on that screw) as theres a small indent in it - might be worth making sure thats covered if it is exposed (cant completely tell on the picture).

ii) Whilst its open give the inside a good dust / blow.

iii) you mentioned you had issues with this also rendering the wifi useless - that card that you see there is the WiFi card, so it could be worth removing it, carefully wiping the pins over, checking the wiring near it (under that black tape - which may have slipped actually) and reseating it back in its slot.

iv) - You will need either of the following two items, before the wife realises:

Now you’ve made me look closer, the black antenna cable from the WiFi card looks like it’s cracked and exposed towards the bottom of the CR32 CMOS battery

It may just be a reflection
