Laptop won’t turn on

I simply closed my laptop last night and went to sleep, when I tried turning it on the next day nothing happened, only the charging light shows and sometimes flashes from the power light and the mousepad light. There are no noises from the laptop. I would like some sort of solution that doesn’t require taking the laptop apart and can be done quickly as I need this laptop for work. I heard of some with this problem who left it ‘for a while’ and came back to it and it worked. Any ideas?

The most obvious question is to check whether the PC is still connected to the power supply & than the socket is switched on.
If you remove the battery & just use the laptop plugged in does the it start?
If not then the power brick may have failed; if it does then the battery may have failed.

Is this a pcspecialist laptop? Could you post your full specs from the order page?
