Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Watched it last night and I’m very tempted to watch it again tonight. It’s spectacular.
This is one that was on my radar but I had completely forgotten about it.

I've started watching Fantastic Beasts & Where to find them, but this is definitely getting added to my list :D

I have been busy :D

Amazon popped up a list of things they are removing in the next 30 days...so I made it my mission to watch as many of them as I could before they disappear and to see if I can exhaust the list before they add more....(even if I've watched them before...)

This just blew my mind. See if anyone else twigs with this straight away....

Everything, Everywhere, All at Once.

Dialogue from the scene I just watched:

"Clothes never wear as well the next day, hair never falls in quite the same way."

It's either lazy, or genius and I've not figured out which.

Edit: Ok, just hit a scene and it's clearly genius and deliberate :ROFLMAO: That's so funny to do something like this.

Glad you got into it. I found it fascinating and spent quite a lot of the time pondering this question;

Is it a really big silly film that wants to seem clever, or is it really clever film passing itself off as being silly?

As the end of the movie approached I was still none the wiser (the scene with the two rocks) but it really tied things up beautifully and I felt like I’d just witnessed something special. It definitely demands a second viewing.

Side note, it’s great to see the return of Data from the Goonies / Short Round from Temple of Doom to the world of acting after a significant hiatus. He, Michelle Yeoh and the whole cast were just brilliant.

For me it's both. The writer had some really clever ideas. There are some real wonder moments in it. I don't think they quite knew how to stitch the ideas together logically though (The cliché ending highlighted this for me) so they threw in loads of silliness to allow for an open narrative. There was a great mix of slapstick and high brow comedy in it though so it was really great for me. The ending was a little bit of a let down for me though, but I can't think of how else they would round it off (other than with the fake ending in the cinema).

Even the character names had me in stiches. Raymond..... really?

After 10 minutes I googled to see if that was who it was. Such a distinctive voice. I wasn't disappointed :D

I've been getting stuck into Clarkson's Farm of late. It's actually really entertaining. I'm not his biggest fan but I think the show is actually going to do a lot of good for Farming communities, it's really spotlighting the issues that Farmers are facing in recent years.

It has the entertaining spin on it, of course, along with Clarkson's pompous and ham fisted nature, but overall I'm really enjoying it.

Completely agree, I know clarksons a berk and I disagree with a lot of his views but he is very entertaining, and this does has garnered a lot of appreciation from the farming community according to a work colleague whose grandparents own a farm.

My uncle owns a farm too, and he's usually as annoyed with the local council as Clarkson seems to be.

My uncle decided it was better to annoy the council by selling off some of his land (usually with outline planning permission) to be developed instead...so now the country lane has 30 extra houses on it instead of the 2 or 3 he asked for.

...and if you're interested, you could have had this 1/3 acre site he was selling for your new house for an insignificant £500k.

It's a bit close to the old farmhouse for my liking, but I can't remember whether he sold that and moved into one of the properties further onto the land...or whether he kept the farmhouse and sold the other one. I know he rents out 2 or 3 of the 30 that were built.

After 2 seasons, I still think they need to add subtitles for Gerald.
After S2 I'm convinced they just overdub Gerald (with Gerald) but what you hear is not always what he has said (even though what he actually said might be just as difficult to understand)

I was convinced of this in season 1 to be honest. There's definitely some audio splicing going on to make sure there is no coherence to anything he says.

I don't think it was necessary as the joke is being over-played now. Hopefully he's being paid handsomely though :D

The problem is, I've met a couple of people like this in real life (mainly Cornwall though)...and I need a local friend to act as interpreter to tell me what they've just said.

It's like they've never had to speak to anyone outside of their family, and I am a roving anthropologist coming upon a new tribe on Dartmoor who have had no human contact for millennia.

A lot of the time the answer to a yes/no question will be 5 seconds long, and my mate will just say "He said 'No'.".
