Could you perhaps elaborate? I'm not sure what you mean, as my RX580 runs most games pretty well.games that a 1080p card could run even 2 years ago, they now no longer can keep up.

Most games "pretty well" at 1080p 60Hz is not a success story in any way especially not on a brand new system. 60fps is not even considered PC gaming, nowadays 120Hz to match a console would be considered bare minimum, 144Hz is now the new 60Hz from 10 years ago, and 240Hz is quickly becoming the defacto standard.Could you perhaps elaborate? It's not a brand new system. It's six years old. Most games "pretty well" at 1080p 60Hz is not a success story in any way especially not on a brand new system.
Thanks! I'll take a look at that.I suspect the 580 is still able to run games okay because you are only running at 60fps (the Hz of a monitor dictates what fps it will display)...most gaming systems these days are 144Hz+
Just about got to £1800..trimmed the secondayr games drive down to 1TB (you can always add another if needed); PSU should be fine if you are staying at 1080p level...may be pushing it if you upgraded to a 1440p GPU in the future.
You could save £110 or so by transferring your Windows licence from the old machine, installing Windows on the new machine yourself and then do an in place upgrade to W11 (it's free to do)...it's all pretty simple to do but, if you aren't comfortable doing it, then fair enough..not everyone is.

Er cheers but I think perhaps you have a habit of assuming you know more about a person than you actually do.Most games "pretty well" at 1080p 60Hz is not a success story in any way especially not on a brand new system. 60fps is not even considered PC gaming, nowadays 120Hz to match a console would be considered bare minimum, 144Hz is now the new 60Hz from 10 years ago, and 240Hz is quickly becoming the defacto standard.
Even 1080p is quickly being phased out because it’s so poor by modern standards
If you're buying a PC expecting that it won't be able to run newer games, you're not designing the PC properly.
Don't limit your experience, you may be used to the absolute bottom rung, you won't appreciate how poor your experience has been until you put some trust in and accept that there's far better available.
Cheers mate, that's good to know.As you are only running 1080p a 4070 would save you £80 compared to the Super, and be more than adequate. It's also much more power efficient so won't tax your PSU as much. This build is pretty much the same as mine and will be 100% good enough for every game at 1080p.
What's your max budget?Hello, I wonder if anyone would be good enough to take a look at this? It's coming in at £1770. It has about 100w more power than it needs but the options it was suggesting were not compatible (with the motherboard I think?), so I'm not sure what to go for in that regard. I don't know my way around motherboard specs to be honest. I would like it to be Bluetooth compatible but does not need to be WiFi but I don't know my way around those adaptors so I'd be grateful for any advice regarding that.
It will mostly be used for Office work, gaming (though I don't need bleeding edge tech in that regard), 3d printing, Zwift etc. My current monitor is a AOC G2590PX 24.5" 144Hz
Many thanks in advance.

To be fair, the previous suggestion was two builds that were both presented with the caveat that neither were recommended! So I came here with this build with a question about the motherboard and Bluetooth. I've not reverted back to everything at all, this build is quite different. We’ve already been through all this, what’s changed? What was wrong with the previous suggestion? How come you’ve reverted back to everything before we told you about Intel and budget etc?
