So my friend is looking to get into PC gaming and is after a gaming PC for around £1350. His whole budget is £1500 but that includes a monitor.
The monitor he's looking to get is a "MSI Optix G241 Esports Gaming IPS monitor", its 1080p, 144hz, 1ms response time, 23.8inch, 16:9 which costs £149.
He will be using this PC solely for gaming, no video editing, no streaming, no work related tasks purely gaming. He will be playing a multitude of games not constricted to one genre, but some games he would definitely play are, DayZ, GTA, Squad, CSGO, Valorant, Fifa, Escape From Tarkov. Like I said he will play multiple genres and a large selection of games.
He is not expecting a beast of a PC and understands he's on a tight budget, he just wants reliability and smooth gameplay even if it may be sacrificed for graphics in certain titles.
I'd like to know peoples opinions on this build and where it can be improved within its £1350 budget, as I don't have the best understanding of building PC's and have selected parts purely on what I have seen people recommend before and whats in my PC that im happy with. The keys parts I'm not sure on is; motherboard, CPU cooler, PSU and I don't know if the GPU and CPU are a good match at all. I would highly appreciate anyone's opinions on it.
I'd also like to note it would be nice if there was room for improvement later on down the line without having to change too many key components, but this isn't required, would just be handy thats all.
Thanks.
