Loud (case) fans

Hi everyone, I'm having some issues with the fans on my new PC. All of them sound rather loud (or rather, I think just the case fans are, the CPU one seems ok atm). I adjusted their speed via BIOS, but there seems to be little to no difference. I'm afraid I might have chosen a "loud" case ...
Any help/suggestion is appreciated!

(Also, I am a total newbie when it comes to anything computer related, so please bear with me!)

When you adjusted the fans in the bios, did the fan's pitch change note (ie did they actually spin faster/slower...) ?? Are the fans connected to the motherboard (the bios may not be able to control them if they're only connected to some other controller for example).

And are the fans correctly configured in terms of setting them to DC (3 pin connection to MB) or PWM (4 pin connection to MB) in the bios?

This was on my mind. When I had my PCS branded RGB case, they were all plugged into a propritary hub which was SATA powered then used a remote for control. Now I don't know if this case uses that system, but a taking off of the back-side panel or a call to PCS would probably give you your answer. If they do use a propritaty hub then there's likely not much you can do to adjust them.

The 3 front fans are connected to MB, and the controls were showing in the bios, only the one in the back isn't connected.
I didn't notice any difference in speed or pitch when I adjusted them tho. Their default setting was at 50% speed, and I lowered it to 20% - I assumed I'll notice some sort of difference, but no.

Also, not sure if this has any significance, but when in bios, under fan profile, only the cpu fan has rpm displayed, the rest are n/a.

Update: I migh have been talking nonsense here. I was just told by a friend that the cable I thought was the fans connecting to the mobo is actually a PSU cable. Apologies, I am super new to these things.
But other than that cable, I can't see any other connection to the motherboard. Would this mean that the fans are connected directly to PSU and I can't change their configuration? Even though they show up in bios?
(Also, I tried turning them off in bios - nothing, they're still running merrily.)

Yes, they're not addressable fans, just static speed.
