That is almost certianly true for the majority I think good sir. This is certainly true. I come from the stance that anyone ordering a custom PC is either not interested in or not willing to do internal surgery on the PC, not talking about easy things like RAM, but when you’re talking platform changes like PSU that involves taking the motherboard out etc etc, then that’s the assumption I’d make.
Anyone who knew how to build would build their own, they’re not restricted to parts and manufacturers selections and can specify exactly what they want.
But I would happily build from scratch and had intended to - but I didn't for two reasons:
1) Finding all the parts I needed was a turning into a major headache. Particularly as figuring out what would actually work with what was a minefield for me at the time. I know more now of course.....
2) I preferred to have the proper cover and warranty of a professionally built system. If something didn't work I have the whole assembly covered. If I built it myself and a GPU fails, I could have some vendor declare it was the way I installed it or the parts I paired it with and refuse to replace it. With PCS they have your back.
So folk who are capable or know how might still be pushed in our direction me thinks.....
Now @SpyderTracks - stop talking to me and get back on topic! Jeez! Where are the Mods when you need them???
