Just saw this advertised. I would love to say I would have loved this as a kid but I would seriously love this now!

What a fantastic idea. I don't have anywhere near the space required for this but if I did this would be fantastic fun.

Was thinking of getting this for my son for Xmas but I believe you need the wii to accompany it.
It’s a switch game. Does look very cool. They’re bringing out an updated switch too with 1440p? screen I think.

Gotta hand it to them, Nintendo are simply the best at factoring in accessories and thinking outside the box.

Ouch! Expensive taste the kids of today have... my nephews are the same, they’ve got full Xbox and switch setups and are now moving into PC gaming, their setups make me a little envious.

Yup half the prob is you buy something like the switch this year and then when its next Xmas or bday you feel almost obliged to outdo the gift you got the year before.

In my days we where just happy with a cardboard box lol.

Yeah, and they have to have every new version as well... and they lay the guilt trip "well so and so's mother bought them one!"

Then you feel guilty and ashamed and they draw you into their web of power and darkness. It's like Krull all over again!

If we had a switch, I would get that for my girls..... to hell with the space haha.

I don't though and it's far too expensive a setup to get for that. My big girl (10) doesn't really game much. She likes Roblox with her friends but not that fussed. The wee one is only 5 and too wee for now. I think she's a gaming prodigy though as everything I give her to play, within reason, she kicks my ass at. I've never seen reactions like it on Subway surf..... if anyone knows the game she scored over 130k in one run the other day!! My 10yr old got 70k after hours of trying to beat her high score haha.

I'm 5 minutes in, and like many other circa 80s Scifi-Fantasy classics.... it's the Music score that makes it.

They really knew how to muster feelings from a score in the cinema back then didn't they! I don't know if it's the effort that's missing nowadays or if the audience has just moved on.

I already feel like I'm part of something exciting just with the music!

I'm just starting it now too.

There are still some good music producers for film, but no, it's not like it used to be. But then they threw entire orchestras at a movie, now it's like one guy with his synthesizer unless you're Seth McFarlane who does Family Guy, Ted and American Dad, he's obsessed with music and does it all the old way.

Didn't realise Liam Neeson was in it!

I'll need to keep an ear out. Maybe I'm just an old nostalgia fuddy duddy. It's films that are more than the sum of their parts that hold real weight with me though. Krull has such amazing charm and the whole thing just reminds me of being 10 and completely sold on the adventure.

Ahh that's right! I did..... but forgot...... and am now reminded haha.

I remember spotting him a number of years back once I knew who he was and re-visiting Krull. Completely forgot about that. Didn't even notice in the credits.

It's the scale of the scenery though as well, the castles and the landscapes, the only modern thing that's really come close was probably lord of the rings and game of thones.

With the tools they had available, they did an awful lot back then.

OMG, it's Robbie Coltrane as one of the bandits as well, looking remarkably young!

Again... when I saw him, I remembered. Same with "Mark Fowler".

They do look young though (and slim)! Making me feel even older haha.
