My PC is running again but its cost me a further £300 to get it in a stable state. £4000 for a computer that has the ability to set itself on fire is why i would never ever use PCS again.

What I just typed sounded cold and disinterested. Which I didn't mean it to be so I have deleted it all and will just say this...

I only bother to post here because PCS are the company they are, I would have expected this issue to be resolved before now and as it still hasn't been I agree your right to be infuriated. Hopefully you get it sorted at some point soon, trading standards will at least help you get everything done the proper way. Let us know how you get on.

Sorry to hear about your experience, as I am not in work at the time I will have a look into this first thing in the morning.

Hello there

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you, I have spoken to the returns team who have forwarded over the pictures of the damaged PSU and how we received it. Sadly due to the extent of the damage Corsair are unable to repair it under warranty

That is clearly inadequate packaging - the box looks to be quite flimsy! Such a weighty component should be securely wrapped in bubble wrap and sealed into a sturdy carton. A return address is always recommended though with bar-coding it is isn't always necessary.

All i can do at that is laugh because it was more than adequately packed i used bubble rap i used a big enough box and the PSU has no actual signs of damage other than the burned pins

Looks to me like it was damaged in transit, you see the casing of the unit is all bent out. Especially visible in the 2nd and 4th picture. As said before, i have no idea how i would send a PSU through the post myself, just because of the weight. The original packing would have been ideal however you would never have had this. What you probably needed was those packing peanuts and a bigger box, but by the looks of it (unless PCS removed it) i don't even see any bubble wrap.

It also unfortunately looks as if the void seal is broken. Which is never good.

I've no clue how I'd go about sending a PSU back either really. I guess larger box and packing peanuts / equivalent is the only way.
