I've downloaded MS Flight Sim 2020 via the MS Store. It has only downloaded 1.12GB. It keeps crashing to desktop and I don't know what to do.

So what does google tell you about that error and the preceding symptoms?

I've tried deleting running.lock and the community folder, and restarting Win Store.
I don't have any 3rd party on the game because I've only just bought it.

Ok. Let’s take a proper look at the issue.
Firstly perform a complete uninstall through the store or through Windows of the flight sim program. Go into the directories afterwards and delete any directory and it’s content that the game was installing to.
Post your FULL spec.
A copy of device manager
A copy of your windows update page
Check in MS store or the install program that you are pointing to a directory that is on a drive with plenty of room.
Right click properties the drive you are trying to save to and show how much spare space left.
A full description of exactly what you are doing when installing and what is happening and when it is happening.
A full description of what you have tried so far and the result.
A full description of what you have looked up / googled, tried and presumably failed.

Windows is up to date.
I've only had the computer since a week on friday ago. There's plenty of space on the drive.
Opened MS Store, Signed up. Bought the game. Downloaded 1.14GB. Launched the game and it freezes on on particular image. After restarting the game I've tried launching the game in Safe Mode and Normal Mode. Both results in the same thing - crash to desktop.
