Firstly perform a complete uninstall through the store or through Windows of the flight sim program. Go into the directories afterwards and delete any directory and it’s content that the game was installing to.

Post your FULL spec.
A copy of device manager
A copy of your windows update page

Check in MS store or the install program that you are pointing to a directory that is on a drive with plenty of room.

Right click properties the drive you are trying to save to and show how much spare space left.

A full description of exactly what you are doing when installing and what is happening and when it is happening.

A full description of what you have tried so far and the result.

A full description of what you have looked up / googled, tried and presumably failed.

I'd suggest using rev uninstaller to uninstall it as that also deletes any registry entries etc pertaining to it

Opened MS Store, Signed up. Bought the game. Downloaded 1.14GB. Launched the game and it freezes on on particular image. After restarting the game I've tried launching the game in Safe Mode and Normal Mode. Both results in the same thing - crash to desktop.

Like I said, my Spec is below. Anyway, here it is..........I can't see what it has to do with the game not working properly. Seems like it has something to do with the installer (which I think is what I'm launching, and then the game would update from the launcher).

Why do you want a shot of the Device Manager? It won't show anything.

Like I said, I couldn’t see it below so I asked to have it posted.

The reason I wanted to see it is because there are some Game crashes that might be attributed to certain components or their drivers so without seeing the bigger picture, I might not be able to search the right answer but must admit it’s so hard to as your not providing what I’ve been asking for without sniping back etc so I give up and I’ll just go fly my Cessna which I managed to finally get installed after having similar problems.

So were you trying to play the game before the installer had actually installed it, or was it the installer that was crashing?

The 1Gb file is only the installer, and you’d have another 100GB to download before it’s usable…and then there’s all the map updates once you have managed to start the game.

It took me 4 hours to install it on a 630mbps fibre connection.

The reason I'm asking is that it's only at 56% when it's done 320/335 and it won't be fully installed then. I would like to know if I need to click on anything, say, to get it to the next stage of installing.

The visuals are stunning. But it's way too complicated for me to play. My son loves it though. Spent an hour inputting his flight plan into the MCDU (whatever the heck that is!) and then flew from Stansted to Naples.

Set off from Glasgow airport and then flew due West to my holiday spot in Argyll. Landed the seaplane near Lochgilphead, and then took off to another sea loch. Then flew from Leeds Bradford Airport to my house :) and then to Malham Cove (unimpressed by the graphics of the limestone cliff)

Does anyone know why the rudder on ground has a mind of its' own. I cannot control it in any way. (xbox 360 controller)
