I love it, ill be making some more vids soon, but, as Phoenix said, I hate the quality, but I have no choice, I have slow upload speeds
What I had thought of was, copying the vid to iphone then letting my iphone upload it overnight, but, as its not iphone compatible video it wont copy. Wonder if I could use my PDA to upload? Problem is my max SD card is 512mb..... what about my PSP? That has a 4GB stick. Oh wait...youtube updated the uploader to flash so even that wont work now -.-
You have to buy the game, or...you can chose not to but i wont go down that route. Eventually I decided to buy it as its exiting Alpha stage soon and iwll become more expensive as it enters beta.
yes this will play on v old pcs, but, you will have to press "F" to set fog up probably, as, the worlds that are randomly generated for use, are, MASSIVE, takes hours to walk from one side to the other. Turning fog up decreases drawback and increases performance. I dont bother with my GTX 470 obviously Also what ive noticed is it doesnt affect folding much as theres no shading really. My ns/day drops from 1300ns/day to 840ns/day which is acceptable, rather than turning it completely off when i play bfbc2.

I did manage to find a driver update that removes the error, but it's over 5 years old. they must have stopped supporting my GPU because I have not been able to find a more recent one, even on nvidia's website.
although it gets me past the error, the gameplay is quite jerky, I don't know if I was on a map with snow, or whether it was just an issue my GPU was causing, but it was hardly a smooth experience. I guess it didn't help me not knowing what to do. I managed to figure out how to bring up the inventory box, purely by mashing keys out of frustration more than anything else.
is there anywhere in-game to view controls and other stuff?

Ill tell you what you need to know now, briefly.
First - Press F to bring up fog around you, this will make your game play smoother but obviously youw ont see as far.
Next, you need to build a home for the first night, thats critical or youw ill get killed by zombies. So, make your way to a cliff edge, and start digging through.
To dig, just hld down right mouse button and youw ill dig with your hand.
Then, you need osme wood, again, go up to a tree,right click on the wood.
Pick up the wood.
Now press "I" for inventory
You will see in teh top right 4 squares, this is your basic 2x2 for making stuff.
Place all your wood in one of the 4 squares, by left clicking the wood in your main inventory below and dragging mouse over to the 4 squares and left click to drop it.
Then, to teh right of thsoe 4 squares youll see a box with planks, keep left clicking till all wood is now in planks
Now, move the planks into the 4 squares but this itme, put half in one square and half in teh square above, (to split a number of planks in half quickly, right click and it will leave half on the square ur on and pick up the other half to move up to the square above).
Now you will see sticks to your right, keep clicking till you have many sticks (but dont use up all the wooden planks)
Next, take 4 planks, and drop one in each of teh 4 squares in teh top right, you will have a owrkbench, next, drag it down to your bottom row, which is your main active invent, scroll through it with the mouse scroll wheel. Press right mouse button to place it
Then right click on it to open it up, now, get 2 sticks, place them at the bottom of that 3x3 grid you now have. Place them in the bottom middle, then place 3 planks of wood above them in teh shape of a pickaxe. Now start digging your house, ifyou find coal, add coal on top of one stick, you build everythign liek this.
You need ahouse before nightfall or you will probably die.

I finally managed to get it working, and I can see it having the same effect on me. I've worked out how to get myself protected before nightfall comes, but I still can't figure some things out.
when you kill an animal and get meat, what are you supposed to do with it? I'm guessing you have to cook it somehow, but I can't figure that out yet.
also, when I have locked myself inside my shelter, when the daylight comes around and I remove the blocks blocking the entrance and go outside, I always get blown up by something. why am I being bombed and is there a way to avoid it?
and lastly (for now), when you get killed, is there any way of finding your way back to where you was before you are killed? I made some quite intricate mines only to be blown up. I tried searching for them again after respawning, but couldn't find them again.

Nope, you can die as often as you want, you just need to refind your house, and, your possessions will bne where u died.
A useful tip whiel u get used to the land (if your house is far from your respawn point which is always the same place btw) is to build a huge dirt tower above it. Up to teh clouds kinda thing so you can see it all the time.
