MSFS 2020 Not Installing

I've had to uninstall MSFS2020 as it was stuck on loading screen. It seems like I've had issues since my Bullguard expired? Not sure if that may have anything to do with it. It seemed to have self-uninstalled, as I can't find it to uninstall. Nothing I did would fix it. I tried opening FS as administrator. Didn't do the trick. So I uninstalled it with hopes to reinstall.

Now I'm having issues reinstalling it. I press Install on the store, it asks my what HD I'd like to use. I select the one I want. Nothing happens after this. I've also tried to Install the game via XBOX App but it's stuck at 0% "Preparing".

In terms of XBOX App, this is what it's stuck on and has been for a while. My broadband is like 250mbps so nothing lacking there.

I've logged out of both apps and relogged in. I've tried "wsreset.exe". Nothing happens. The black dialouge doesn't self-close like it should do.

It's worth fully uninstalling bullguard, it can cause general issues.

What drive are you installing to? Have you made sure you can write to that location and all is normal there?

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Bullguard was the problem. We generally don't recommend it, Windows Defender is plenty good enough.

I would uninstall Bullguard, reboot, and then run an sfc /scannow command on an elevated command prompt. The open the Windows disk cleanup tool, include system files and select every checkbox and then run the clean.

Then reboot again and then see whether FS2020 will install.

Bullguard came free with the PC I bought from PCSpecialist. It was like a free 30 days. I didn't pay for it. In terms of uninstalling in Settings>Apps when pressing Uninstall on Bullguard, Windows is unable to find the programme.

It was installed on the SSD before so shouldn't be an issue.

Just navigate to where you were trying to install it and make sure you can write to that location.

Fingers crossed that should reset the windows store.

After you've done that, it may be worth opening cmd as admin and running "sfc /scannow" to check the windows databases also.

This is a known problem for MSFS.

There are various fixes and workarounds to get it working.

To avoid linking to them all, try Googling MSFS stuck on loading screen.

does not appear to be a single fix.

run as Admin, Check no special characters in folder naming, user name etc.

MSFS stuck on black loading screen

When I load into MSFS it gets stuck on a black screen and doesn’t even reach the “Press any key to start”. I dont get why it does this I read somewhere to switch headphone outputs but that doesn’t work, anyone know how to fix it?

It was working PERFECTLY first installation in August, no problems what-so-ever! Only today it was stuck. So frustrating.

I tried installing it today, and I'm unable to do so, tried most pointers, allowing msfs2020 in firewall settings etc. so far I've managed to install the 1.3gb preinstall. Boot it up only to get to a landscape on the screen where it should be a press any key to continue and boom crashes back to the desktop. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling
