Sweeeeet!!!VR confirmed!
I can't even forum explain how excited I am about this! This is going to be a complete game changer IMO.
I've not watched it, but if it's a beta then it hasnt been fully tested nor optimised for general release, so i wouldnt pay much attention to it. Wait for the release, give it a few days for the videos to pop up on YouTube and then make your mind up.How is everyone else feeling about performance after seeing videos of the beta? I’ll be honest I’m slightly concerned after seeing a few, and seeing frames drop fairly low, even running a 2080ti.
Obviously it was always going to be heavy and I’ve heard frames can drop a little bit when recording as well? I’m just glad I changed my spec to 2080s.
Mwahahahaha! We've all been thereAlthough i have promised myself that I must not buy anymore PC trinkets!
I’ll have to make that promise to myself starting from now it’s been an expensive 15 working days...Deffo interested...... Although i have promised myself that I must not buy anymore PC trinkets!
I wonder if my R5-3600XT on a B450 board c/w an RX-5700XT will be able to run 1080p at Ultra settings?
To be honest, even if the frames drop at those settings, apparently the graphical difference between Ultra and High is very low and the performance difference is noticeable. That’s the same going from 4K to 1440p, the ‘sweet spot’ for performance and graphics seems to be high settings at 1440pI wonder if my R5-3600XT on a B450 board c/w an RX-5700XT will be able to run 1080p at Ultra settings?
Obviously, as I was told previously, this could change between now and release as it’s still only the betaTo be honest, even if the frames drop at those settings, apparently the graphical difference between Ultra and High is very low and the performance difference is noticeable. Also... I've just realised I have a problem...
I have very little desk space left for any peripherals and I'm left-handed so 99% of modern joysticks don't like me. Would I be laughed out of the room by playing with an Xbox controller? 😬
The stick certainly is, they almost all are catered for left and right handed players.
The problem is always the throttle unfortunately, you would struggle to use the controls with your pinkie I imagine
There are all in one flight sticks that have a small throttle on them. That sort of stick would be a good buy for a first time trial of the game etc.
With all that being said..... given the minimal input required in the games.... there's really no reason why the non-dominant hand couldn't be used to control the flightstick. I could happily fly left handed or right handed. The throttle control is probably more important to be honest.
A friend of mine let me drive his BMW with paddle shifts, I instantly went into game mode and totally forgot I was actually driving on real roads with real other cars.... he asked me to pull over after about 1 minuteYou possess a greater amount of ambidextrousness than myself. I choose to drive an automatic these days so I can keep my left hand on the wheel (and also so I can use my flappy paddle shifters, I love them). Ah, to live in Europe or America where they drive on the right side of the road...
EDIT - is ambidextrousness a word or I have made that up? Ambidextrosity? Ambidextrability?
Honestly buzzing for this, really looking forward to flying over the South West and seeing how accurate it is. I know obviously and it's been mentioned on many of the pre-release reviews that some of the building data isnt even close but you'd like to think that they have the larger/main buildings and streets in place.Thought I'd share this, really good article on the upcoming release....

I think it's fair to say, I've never seen such photo-realistic in game rendering.... ever. It really is quite stunning!
