Is this a build you've purchased and recieved or are you looking for recommendations on it before or just after a purchase? If it's the 2nd one of the 2, we'll need to know your budget, monitor info (make and model or resolution and refresh rate) and what you plan to do with it. As much detail as possible would be fantastic. Also the configurable link would be super helpful (how to post that can be found here). If you've already recieved it, lets see some pics!

I know liquid cooling looks awesome but its got a lot of strings attached and its expensive....

Whatever your budget is, you could get serious performance improvement by not burning the budget on a liquid build, going with a AIO cooler (closed loop liquid cooling) and taking premium choice components for your uses.
AMD also dont overclock to the users benefit in the majority of cases, its got a limited use case in which you can improve a AMD with a fixed overclock as its got built in self-boosting/overclocks.

The build is a nightmare waiting to happen, you could get so much more with a huge budget like that.

Thanks man that's really helpful.. I placed the order already but I had changed to SSD and m.2 ssd for OS.. I can still make amendments to my order as I only placed it today. im getting this primarily for gaming so sticking with the CPU and GPU what other adjustments do you think I should make to make the most out of the budget?

Honestly, I think the best route is to cancel. As Sibun has said, you can get some fantastic results from AIO's and watercooling just isn't necessary these days. An air/ aio system is also a whole lot eaiser to maintain, just needing a dust every month or so compared to a flush replacement and replacement of the tubes. It also adds a lot of cost which isn't needed. Luckily you ordered today so you won't be losing much progress, on waiting in queues but I'd call up tomorrow and request to cancel and come back to us when you're ready for a re-spec. When you do, we'll need your budget. monitor info (make and model or resolution and refresh rate) and your use cases. You've said primarily gaming- Will there be any streaming or video editing, or do you do work on this system that requires specialist programs?

For note, Ryzen 9 is not designed for gaming, it's more of a multi core CPU so good for creative uses (gaming is more single core focused) and one you have is also previous generation so a Ryzen 7 5800X would be a much better choice. And for GPU, the 3090 is one heck of a card and is only really necessary if you have a 4K 144hz display. If you don't have one, you could potentially save a lot of money (and time depending on the card) by going for a lower tier card.

This is a rough build there are many on here that will make a build for you demonstration purposes made a mock for you this system will pritty much run everything on ultra with a good framerate and have enough cooling for you not to worry about. the 3090 is basically £600 more for 8 frames which for gaming is a massive overspend could even add a 2nd m.2 drive for your games etc theres so much more you can do to the base build from the money you save not going for a liquid series build it looks flashy but to me is like spending way to much money for it to basically do what a aio cooler does well :) I have a 5800x its the hottest chip of the new amd series but with a capellex under full load sits at 60- 65 so happy enough with that

The saving you would make could invest in base build way better monitor or some fancy new peripherals could even treat yourself to a vr headset from the 3090 down to 3080 savings alone !!! And a 3090 for gaming is is just overkill unless your going for 8k gaming which the monitors alone cost a bomb

The OP could probably buy that G9 with the savings your recommendations would give compared to the original build.

Yeah iwould not go with that build tho storage is off and some other adjustments just to demonstrate @AgentCooper @MrWilson and ash could spec somthing better with a budget and intending monitor oh and @JUNI0R

Along the same lines as @jamiephillips909 ’s build, Something like this would be a compete beast. One could argue it’s also a little overkill too (mobo isn’t necessary for 5800X and 16GB is fine if you don’t plan to stream, video edit or play MSFS) Assuming you have a 4K 144hz or G9 monitor (although you could probably buy one with the savings from your previous build) this will demolish anything. I’ve changed the Case for the Corsair 5000X which is a monster of a case. Another option is the 5000D air call to request 3 LL fans for the front. Ive also adjusted the storage a little bit. The lack of M.2 SSD and the 4TB HDD was a little odd I’ll be honest.

We still dont know what he wants to do with it, or what budget he is looking at.... you could literally build a machine to do anything with the cost of what seems to have been ordered.

Im wondering if the case availability is also playing a role here, not a huge amount of good choices atm, I mean there are good ones, but not so many nice looking good ones atm. Its a shame the lian Li case is limited to liquid builds.
