My new PCS laptop

I needed a new laptop and after searching found PC Specialists online. The prices, specs and ease of customization made choosing them for a product easy.
All I initially wanted was a fast laptop, anything faster or more capable than my old ASUS i5 (4th gen U) that was struggling with my day to day tasks.

I ended up with this i7 11800H imo beast!!!

Did I need an octa core, or an RTX GPU or even 16gb of ram, NO!! But now I have gaming options and the daily tasks of use are lightning fast.

The build quality is fantastic and and I'm over the moon with is capabilities.

nb it has 2 x 8gb ram modules not 1 x 16gb

Have you taken the bottom off yet? Is it easy to take the fans out and clean the fuzz out from between the fan and the grille? You will need to do this regularly if my experience is anything to go by. It's also recommended to re-paste the CPU and GPU regularly (some say every year), take it out and apply fresh thermal paste. I've never done this myself but I intend to with my new Defiance IX. You should be able to find a local computer repair shop to do this for you, I think it cost me £60 to have my Vortex IV re-pasted last year. It died a few weeks ago anyway, I probably should have had that done more regularly.

Both my old and new machines are Clevo and so is yours so it should be easy.

Also, how long did it take to build and deliver? I'm waiting for mine to be built right now, it's just gone up from "2 working days" to "3 working days"!

Good reminder. I will probably wait until the warranty is up before getting my Defiance IX re-pasted, and my Vortex IV was nearly 7 years old! The initial paste should last a while I guess.

If you know how to use a screw driver you are pretty much qualified to do it yourself. It really isn't that hard and there are plenty of youtube videos with good advice.

You will also not void your warranty unless you do something mad whilst your are inside the laptop.
