I would strongly agree with this, if you have extra budget, put it into the platform at this budget, get it as strong as possible.

Then upgrade the RAM at a later date. That way you get a far stronger build overall.

Exactly right. 16GB will not hold you back with Photoshop ultimately. With Lightroom, it can ruin your day if you don’t have enough for some of its heavy functions, but PS is OK.

Get the basics right and extras like RAM will be easy additions later.

The mistakes I’ve made with my build are all in that category. I saved on core items to get the full functionality I needed but have put myself in a situation where future upgrades will now need core upgrades to support them at the same time. Not a big deal ultimately but not an effective use of my budget.

If only I came here for advice first! Ahem. Cough. Em. Anyway……. 🤦‍♂️😀
