New comp arrived, minor scare after one day.

My 5900x with 6800xt and a BE QUIET case comp finally arrived on Friday. It looks absolutely gorgeous and it is incredibly quiet. This is the first time I have used an SSD and it still feels weird not hearing the HD. However, I got a a bit of a shock on Saturday :(

I was playing The Division 2 and everything was going well until I heard a clonk from inside my case, I looked over and saw that an LED strip had fallen off and had come within 1/2 inch of hitting my Noct CPU fan. I dread to think what would have happened if it had jammed inside the fan ;(

I managed to secure it properly and it is still holding okay. The fact that it happened still bothers me as it was only one day after setting up my pc.

Sadly stuff sometimes moves in transit. A lot depends on how well the box is handled by DPD (one poster reported seeing his DPD driver drop it off the back of the van onto the ground!) but even bouncing around in the back of the van on uneven roads can shake stuff loose.

Is it worth opening the case upon arrival and checking everything is as it should be?
If you have a large graphics card and/or a large CPU cooler there will be packaging on the inside to protect them - and a big warning on the outside to tell you to remove the packaging!

It probably is worth having a good look around inside before powering any build on for the first time. :)
