New gaming PC

Hi guys,

I'm looking for some advice for a new gaming PC.

I mainly play world of warcraft, warzone and pubg but hope to future proof myself for a while on other games. My budget is about £1200-1400 and do not required any monitors etc. I'm currently using an ASUS TUF VG27WQQ as my main monitor if that helps.

I was going to post a spec below as a start point but frankly I have so little idea what I'm doing that I think it's better if I just post my requirements as above and hope that somebody will step up and help me!!

If you need any more information in order to help I'll be happy to come back to you!

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for coming back so quickly!

Does this system give me a decent baseline for upgrading down the road? Not massively worried about finding the extra few ££ now if it gets the right bit of kit but would like the ability to revisit in 2 years for some advice on upgrades if I feel it's needed with whatever I'm playing then!

Thanks again for your help so far! Open to any other opinions as well of course!

You actually hit the nail on head. I was thinking at some point I'd get a 2nd 4k monitor, mainly for the ps5 and it would be silly not to be able to upgrade the graphics card to take advantage of it! Thanks

I'm no expert and i'm sure the more experienced will weigh in with much better solutions but here's one to play around with in the meantime

I think £1,700+ is a more realistic budget for what you need, especially if you want to future proof it. If its not needed right away I'd save to an £1,800 budget and start there.

£1,400 gets you a OK build as you can see below but sacrifices have to be made (storage, power supply, latest CPU, 4k GPU & aftermarket cooling)

Thanks for your input Liam. It looks like you've taken a similar approach to nursemorph but tried to me down to nearer the £1400 mark as per my opening post. I appreciate the input but think I'd likely spend the extra bit to put me in the best possible place rather than compromising.

I assume you'd take a similar route to nursemorph to get up to your suggested £1600 build?

Yea his build is pretty much spot on, Id go with an SSD over HDD for the additional storage but that's just personal preference.

I've also noticed for an extra £1 there's the option of 3600MHz (16gb) ram rather than 3200. not sure how big of a difference it will make (if any) My build is still in pre production and the option wasn't there at the time of me building but it is now so not sure if its switching for the extra quid.

Maybe someone could shed some light on this...
