New Laptop and I've instaled windows myself, what software and drivers do I need?

And where to get them?

Nvidia graphice drivers (obviously) (From Nvidia that one is easy..)
Drivers for motherboard?
Software to control fan settings etc?

Anything else?

Any other checks to perform?

Let Windows update run and it will find the drivers.

When all updates are run have a look in your device manager and put a screen print on here if there are any mini yellow triangles / ~Other devices - that look like they dont have drivers assigned.

No issues in device manager but what about the power setting control panel, any motherboard drivers (to update) is there any other useful software - how do you control the keyboard colors etc ??

Log into your PCS account and check your downloads section now for a program called Control Center or Gaming Center (or Centre) - or CC....

You can also check the Intel website for drivers (use their driver & support assistant tool).

For the Tongfang chassis you have (and I have) you are recommended to install the PCS drivers first. Specifically the Intel iGPU drivers & chipset drivers first, then the NVidia drivers, then LAN and Wifi. Also THX and Realtek for the audio.
And the Control Center 3.x

ONLY AFTER THAT, you're allowed to look elsewhere for updates to those: e.g. Intel website, Nvidia website (you'll find newer drivers for sure here), Windows Update.

If you don't use the first PCS drivers issue, specifically customized by Tongfang, you might:
- not totally have the C.Center managing the nvidia and CPU parameters via its sliders properly
- not have the best C% states of the CPU during Wifi/LAN usage, meaning you loose battery performance
- not using the Wifi drivers they provide, you'll find often your Wifi disconnects. That's a thing me and other Ionico users suffered and solved by using PCS drivers.

That's from a Ionico user, as I said. Who looked to advices of various system integrators of Tongfang chassis. And diligently applied.
Feel free to use what I said or go with Windows Update only and be happy.

Hey guys! I have a very similar question, my specs are almost identical to men8ifr apart from a 2tb version ssd and I opted for the 3070. @Macco26 does your excellent advice also apply to myself as I order this (almost identical) specs but I got the operating system Included in my order?

So just to clarify because I have ordered my laptop WITH Windows 10 I don't have to worry about the downloads on PCS account page? just re run updates through Windows when it arrives?

Yep. No need for PCS account page drivers. Do run Windows Update until no more updates are found as soon as you get it. :)
