It is predominantly for Gaming & Photography which is why I need a good high spec - but also went with the high spec to help future proof it too....

My Alienware died after 7yrs but that it was a good work-horse and could handle new games & only started showing its age in its last 2yrs.

I'm hoping this new laptop will serve me well for many years to come.

I'm an IT nerd and power use, so I need the efficiency/power of Win10 PRO, particularly its strong networking efficiency.
Win 10 Home is much less stable and is a poor OS similar to Microsofts previous Windows. Also, it has nowhere near the power & features that I need.
I also have a need to set up different virtual configurations such as a for development and LINUX and my photography.
I prefer to use a VM as it is cheaper than having multiple computers, although saying that I have so much hardware (base units/laptops/peripherals etc lying around... I really need to stop hoarding stuff.

Simply put, Win10 Home would have an hissy fit with the above and just cannot cut it. Win10 Pro however is much more efficient and less buggy too.

What do you mean by this? There aren’t any networking additions to windows pro, or do you mean domain access?

This isn’t accurate with windows 10, it’s entirely different to any previous windows release. All pro adds is domain access and BitLocker.

What do you use for Virtualisation? If HyperV you can have that on windows home.
