New Laptop won't detect Headset Mic

Hello,

I have a new laptop from PC Specialist and so far it is great but I am having issues with the computer not detecting any headset mic. I have tried updating the realtek hd audio driver and it doesn't worked. I have done most troubleshooting I could find online like going into the control panel and making sure the the headset appears in the sound section but nothing. I have tried uninstalling realtek hd audio driver and reinstalling it. I have also found that Realtek HD Audio Manager is not installed on my laptop and I am wondering if it has something to do with it.

Can anyone help me out with this?

What headset are you using?

As to the Audio Manager, it's possible. If it's available for your laptop, then it should be in the downloads section of you account on the main site (login, click on the "Tech Support" menu option, then on "Downloads")..all relevant drivers etc for your laptop should be there

I am using this 3.5mm headset: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07VSS231W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It works fine with my other laptop. I found a driver under Downloads that is called Audio_W10.zip, I will try to see if that works. I just assumed everything on that download page was already pre-installed.

I see the headset has two jacks. Does the pc have 1 headphone/mic jack or are they separate?
It may be if there’s only 1 input you’ll require an adapter to plug two jacks into one socket.

The PC is just 1 headphone/mic jack. The headset still works on my old laptop which also has only 1 headphone/mic jack. The headset does have a singular jack but did come with a splitter in case it was for a pc that had two separate jacks.
