Aye, that’s a bit risky when your build date is so close! What were you thinking of changing it to?

In other news, I’ve managed to get next Saturday off work so I’ve changed my delivery date 👍

Actually did another last minute change haha
Removed the GPU because a new opportunity arose for a 2070 super.

Now, I'm wondering how they test the system, do they use their own GPU temporarily?

Is yours finished now?

I recall reading on an older thread somewhere that they do chuck a GPU in there for testing, although I've no idea what type they'd use.

I've had no updates on the build so far yet, but today is a desk day and I won't be seeing any patients, I will be refreshing my email constantly 😁

I have done the build again just to check how much I spent overall since this started as the order only shows the initial price tag.

What started as a budget of nearly £1500 for a pc and some sort of £600 for the screen and eventually another £1000 for a new GPU in a few months became a:

£1187 PC without GPU and case
£450 GPU
£1300 monitor
£170 speakers
£420 Headset+keyboard+mouse
£170 case

I'll just advertise my kidneys, brb.

Yeah, on my 1to1 with my manager last week, we have discussed how the situation will progress regarding wfh and he thinks we won't be in the office this year.. so if I have to stay at home so long, might as well make it nicer!

Same, I'd post everywhere as soon as I get an update too! I saw that they were advertising for temporary builders for working shifts 16:30-01:00 so... im trying to play detective and establish a picture here

Yeah.. the person in the live chat said there is a night shift and it could be updated then. I clearly don't have enough work to do to keep me busy and thinking of something else rather than baby pc. :x

No (and I heard the movie is banned now?). Instead, I have been watching estimated build dates gone with the wind nice little drama!

I posted one the other day here. Mine got delivered yesterday but my build isn't scheduled until 17 Aug so I can't try it. However, I did some research and it uses the same panel as the LG 27GL850 but is £100 cheaper. Dell also has good customer services and comes with a 3 year warranty.

Further update, exactly one minute after receiving my 'entered testing' email, I received another email stating 'awaiting dispatch'.

This seemed a bit rapid for testing so I've just had a livechat and it looks like it perhaps wasn't updated correctly. Chat confirms everything is fine - it was picked Thursday, built Friday, tested Monday and is ready for dispatch for my requested Saturday delivery.

I still won't have mine for the weekend they moved the build date to tomorrow. I could upgrade for a Saturday or Sunday delivery but then it may not be done on time anyway.

@AgentCooper does paying for the Saturday delivery mean even if the build is ready for dispatch on say a Monday or Tuesday its dispatch is then delayed to garantee its delivery on a Saturday, even though if its ready for dispatch earlier in the week would normally mean its delivered a day or so later. The reason I'm asking is as I work constantly changing shifts paterns as I work for a community care organisation and was thinking of paying for a Saturday delivery simply because I can ensure theres someone at home then even if my partner is back to working in his works office when the build will be ready as he works Monday-Friday.

Lol might do that way not yet ordered as I'm finalising some component decisions . It was that I was going to pay for the Saturday delivery from the outset just to garantee I know there will be someone there to take delivery as my days off can be any days of the week and vary from week to week.

The livechat feature may be your friend on this, you can check in and see how it's getting on and if it IS out of testing by Friday (before 3pm, I think) you can perhaps go for the Saturday delivery. It's an extra £19 so not much for knowing you'll have a free weekend to play with your new toy!

Yes, if it's saturday delivery it will only ever be collected on the friday for next day. So if it's ready on the monday it won't be delivered until the following saturday.

No, DPD don't collect at weekends, if you order sunday delivery it's collected on friday and held in the depot until sunday.
