I'm sure it will be, waiting is the hardest part, I tend to live on the computer, I work on it and play on it, so it takes up a hell of a lot of my time, it's odd pretty much being without one.
How is your rig getting on? Ours have sort of similar specs.

I have ordered a totally different case though, so whatever happens they'll look different, I mainly meant performance wise how are things going for you?
Especially on big new games, Deus Ex HR, Crysis 2 and the likes.

lol erm not played any of those games. Judging by your spec, you will have no problem at all running anything!
13th working day, 18th day for us mere mortals and still nothing much to report.
Still waiting on building to start, been in pre-production the whole time pretty much.
Was told building should start most likely today or tomorrow, here's hoping, this wait is driving me insane, so much so that I even dragged out my old Xbox 360 (Yeah, I don't do consoles much, only have a few games and hadn't played it in about a year.) and been playing a few games there, I forgot how much I suck at console games since I'm so used to my WASD and mouse.
Ah well, I'll post pics and stuff when I do get my computer, hopefully won't be too much longer now.

It's just the waiting that's horrible, logging on every day to see "pre-production" but it's exciting to see things moving now, just really hope testing and that will move along without a hitch and then I can get back to installing all my Steam games again, makes me wish I backed a few up since it's going to be such a chore installing them all again >_<
On the plus side, I'll get to use DX11 on stuff like Deus Ex HR and my last system could run most games at full settings, on bigger games like GTA IV it struggled, I don't think this monster will struggle to do anything for a good while.

At least on that note, I should be good, I work from home and although I have to be out and about sometimes, it's not enough to really interfere with my gaming time
Soon as it arrives, it'll be getting hooked up and then comes the loooong time it's going to take to install stuffs.

Seems a lot of people are naming their new PC's, my imagination is terrible though and can't think up a fitting name although since my computer is such a monster, I was half tempted to name it after the ex!

Congrats! though hearing that is making me a bit annoyed lol
mine still hasn't changed.....getting a bit concerned now because its gonna be a month since i ordered at the end of the week. Seen so many that have been ordered after mine get done and sent and i have had no notes to say anythings wrong. I'm away all next week as well, thought it would've been completed like a week or so ago

I'm on the 16th day too, maybe I snuck my order in just before yours and yours will be done just after mine.Here's hoping at least, it's never fun to wait.
I'd say if it's not at least changed over to testing by tomorrow, give them a ring and just ask if everything's going ok, tell them your situation and hope it can be sorted out, I got an email today around 6am or so telling me it had went into testing, the next time I checked...around 10am I think...it was in Quality Control, I'm sorta guessing that means my testing happened on Saturday and Quality is today either that or someone's a bit eager to get into work at PCS

aye, probs gonna do it tommorow if there's no change. I could be away for up to two months and kinda hoped it would be ready (gave it just over a month to get one to take) So i may have to cancel if its not progressed by the end of the week and look for a cheapy lappy to work on.

I sorta thought, 2-3 weeks, I didn't really expect it to drag along this long, I guess it must be a particularly busy time for PCS, or stock is being difficult, I know I had some stock problems, my CPU cooler (The Titan Fenrir super ultra extreme mega whatchamacallit) was out of stock for a few days and they had some probs getting the 1.5TB WD Caviar Black HDD, I stuck with the fenrir but just hopped down to 1TB to get things moving a little faster.
It seems to be a little slow, but I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end though I'll wait till I'm sitting typing on my machine and seen it fly through a bunch of games before I say that one for sure.
Still, I'd rather wait a month and get a top pc like this than have mine delivered within the week but it's just a ****ty overpriced <insert brand name here> machine.
Even the price I paid for mine (around £2.6k) it's still cheaper than the last PC I had, and considerably better too in comparison to the parts available at the time, so I'm happy all in all as long as everything works and I can get into my gaming and stuffs right away.
Once again, good luck getting your stuff sorted, mine is still in QC, I sort of half entertained the hope it would be shipped tonight, but I wasn't so lucky, most likely Wed/Thurs now unless there's a problem, still can't rule that one out.

*jealous* I had phoned PCS last week after switching from the 6990 to the dual 6970s, just to make sure there weren't any issues on that front. I was told they were getting around fifty 6970s in this week & my PC could be with me on Friday, failing that - early the following week.
I would be amazed if I saw my PC delivered on Friday, however as of today it was still in Pre-Production so i'm not going to hold my breath. But I agree for sure, it will be worth the wait. (so long as there are no issues w/the PC when it arrives)

I think I would have gone for the fast-track option had I gone back, though I was cheekishly hoping that me paying the full amount in cash, not finance - might have given me semi-VIP status on my order LOL. I know, that's a terrible hope to have as i'm sure alot of people pay upfront anyway. xDDDD
