New PC Config - Please can I have advise

Hi, I am looking to purchasing the following config PC (see below), for mainly MS office, photo editing, music editing and some PC gaming. Please can people let me know if my config is ok for what I want to do, or can I downgrade some items? I want to future proof the PC for at least 3-5 years. Thanks

Thanks for your message. I really have not thought about my monitor. I was going to just use my old Dell monitor. So I would be open to suggestion to a new monitor also.

I my max budget would be £800 for the PC.

You can drop the thermal paste, not required on that CPU, you really want the fastest RAM you can get, 3200MHz is the optimum on Ryzen 3000 series. But other than that, it's ok.

Further questions that I hope you can help with:

1) the motherboard (Gigabyte B450 AORUS ELITE: DDR4, USB 3.1 - RGB Ready ) bios need to be updated in order to use the CPU Processor I have chosen (AMD Ryzen 5 3600X)?

2) I was thinkng of getting the AMD Ryzen 7 3600x, is it worth getting this rather than the Ryzen 3600x?

3) Should I go for a cheaper motherboard or should I stick with what I have choosen?

1. No, the motherboard will be fully configured and all the hardware will have been tested and operating optimally before shipment.

2. for your uses, yes, the 3700x would be worthwhile, NOT the 3600x (that offers no improvement over the 3600)

3. I’d stick with that one.

You're sacrificing the GPU for the CPU, this wouldn't be able to cope with most monitors, not a good option.

Do you think that the 1660 Super GPU is better than the 4GB AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT?

If I could only afford the 4GB Radeon RX 570 XT or Radeon RX 5500 XT, with the following:

- AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
- Gigabyte B450 AORUS Elite
- 16GB DDR4 (3200MHz) (2x 8GB) RAM

Which GPU would you suggest? I would ideally like to keep my total cost £1,000
