I mean it's the one underneath the metal grate, it's not plugged in to anything for me to unplug and plug it back in
Oh! I see what you mean.

Are you sure that's it? If so that needs to be plugged into a USB header, otherwise the cooler won't be fully working properly.

I've followed the wire a few times to make sure and it's definitely that one because it cable tied with a load of other tiny wires and thats the only one like that in the bundle which is the one that ends up down the bottom not plugged in

What I think is going on here is that those 2 USB motherboard ports at the bottom of the photo you posted are the only USB 2 headers on the motherboard. They're actually each 2 port headers so equals total of 4 ports.

I'm guessing one of them is fed to the USB ports on the case, and the other is taken up by the bluetooth controller on the wifi card.

The BT controller is essentially taking up 2 ports needlessly, but of course, there's no individual spare port to connect the H115i USB into.

What we need is a splitter to split that second USB header into 2 ports.

We need something like this:

Or this if you want something a bit more substantial, it latches to the case by magnets:

I'm happy to get the first one as long as its OK just sitting on the bottom inside?

These are the current ports/connections:

So that would need a power source from a molex connector off the PSU, molex looks like this:

If there aren't any available off the PSU in the build currently, there should be some spares in the welcome box.

Then you plug that into the molex connector off the USB board, and remove the bluetooth connector from the wifi card from the usb header on the motherboard, connect the USB from this to the motherboard in it's place, and then plug both the bluetooth header and the H115i pump header into this new splitter.

On second thoughts I'll get the one with the magnet that you posted. Just looks nicer.

Is it the same process as above to connect it? Although I'll probably give you a shout once it arrives anyway to make sure

I would personally also, it just snaps to the case on magnets and looks a lot neater.

I believe it’s exactly the same way to connect it, but I’ll just double check.

Yes, exactly the same method to connect it:

But yeah, just post here once you’ve got it and we can talk you through it.

@SpyderTracks I have the USB hub to install whenever you're free
Sorry about that, only just seen this!

So the molex connector on the power lead, that plugs into a male molex connector from the PSU. Either you will have a specific Molex line of power cables that you just need to plug into the "Peripherals & SATA" outputs on the PSU, or you will have a little SATA power to molex adapter like this:

Then you plug the USB cable that came with the port replicator into the motherboard where we're removing the left hand connector from.
Plug the other end into the White input port on the port replicator, and that should be it, plug in the power, connect the USB header we just removed from the motherboard into the replicator, and attach the cooler to it as well, and we should be good to go.

Apologies if I am confusing matters here...feel free to tell me to shut up and go away :) Will that Hub work without some kind of 6 pin adapter? Just curious as it seems to come with a 4 pin Molex...but the OPs PSU is an RMx:

The PSU should come with some SATA power to molex adapters, they're usually included by default, if not then it will be a standard Molex power line just with molex outputs.

All up and running, had to use a molex cable from the box that came with the pc but the WiFi card works and the H115i shows up in iCue so it all seems to be working ok. Thanks for the help

Fair enough...you have more knowledge of these things than me (y) I just looked at the picture of the hub you posted and saw the power cable side of it on the left which had a molex connector for a VS/CV PSU rather than the modular connector a RMx takes

You need to think further down the line. The RMx will have standard SATA power connections. You then add an adapter to the SATA connector which changes it to a 4 pin molex, as suggested, this adapter then connects to the hub power connection :)
